Polish Language Course

The Preparatory Course aims at preparing foreign candidates for studying in Poland. The list of participants is limited to persons sent by the Bureau of Academic Recognition and International Exchange.
The Preparatory Course lasts two semesters. Its programme includes not only 6 hours of general Polish language classes every weekday but also classes specially designed for a future field of studies. Classes are held in building CENT III, 101 Żwirki Wigury.
Participants who complete this course with a positive result shall be admitted to studies in the programme specified by the Bureau of Academic Recognition and International Exchange.
The Center for Polish Language and Polish Culture for Foreigners „Polonicum” is responsible for teaching, while all the administrative tasks are done by the International Section of the Office for Student Affairs.
Each participant will be provided with a place in dormitory number 1 or 2 (Żwirki I Wigury 95/97 or 97/99). All the details and prices are available at the Welfare Section website.
Before your arrival:
Please prepare the following documents:
- Copy of your passport (we will ask you for your passport after your arrival),
- Completed student ID form [available on the website]
- Your photograph (300 x 375 pixels, maximum size: 50 KB);
- Confirmation of payment for the student ID (you can make a bank transfer or pay at the post office in Poland after arrival – it is cheaper to do it at the post office)
